Fannie Farmer

One hundred and ten years ago today Miss Farmer's School of Cookery opened in Boston.  Miss Farmer advocated using standard measures in cooking in her first cookbook, The Boston Cooking-School Cook Book.  She later let the Boston Cooking-School to found Miss Farmer's School of Cookery. 

The cookbook, eventually became known as the Fannie Farmer Cookbook.
