McBugbear's Cold Nostrum
Ingredients:
Zest and juice of one lemon
thumb sized piece of ginger grated
2 green onions
Boiling water
honey
Zest and juice one lemon, peel the ginger. Grate the ginger using a ginger grater or cut the ginger into small cubes perhaps (1/8"-1/4"). Using a garlic crusher slowly crush the ginger taking care to retain the juice produced. Slice the green onions finely. Add the ginger, ginger juice, onions, lemon zest and lemon juice to a tea bodum and boil water. Pour the boiling water into the bodum and let the tea steep for 10-20 minutes, have a couple of cups with honey and go to bed.
If you omit the onions this recipes makes a very pleasant ginger-lemon tea.
